Corduroy

I was purchased by a breeder to be a stud. I was very young (still am) and had no training other than being haltered and put into a trailer to go to my new home. I guess no one thought that I might not know what it meant to walk on a lead and respect the boundaries of humans. I was considered crazy and dangerous and was scheduled to be slaughtered.

Someone who knew my human owners got wind of this and called StillPointe. They came and picked me up, took me to their sanctuary, scheduled my gelding appointment and gave me about six weeks to calm down. I now get to be with the herd and have become quite a well-behaved guy.

We ought not to treat living creatures like shoes or household belongings, which when worn with use we throw away." - Plutarch
